About Miami Beach Guest

Miami Beach Guest is an independent online guide to Miami and Miami Beach. Here is how we research, fact-check and fund our guides, and how to reach us.

Miami Beach Guest is an independent online guide to Miami and Miami Beach. We publish practical guides to neighborhoods, beaches, attractions, events, getting around and where to stay, written to help you plan a trip with accurate, current information.

Who is Miami Beach Guest for?

Our guides are written for visitors: first-timers working out where to stay, returning travelers looking for something new, cruise passengers with a day before sailing, and anyone planning a trip to a concert, festival or game listed in our events calendar. We also try to be useful to people in South Florida looking for weekend ideas or event dates.

We focus on the questions people actually need answered before they go. How do I get from the airport to South Beach? What does parking cost? Is this beach good for kids? Which entrance to the Everglades should I use? We aim to answer those directly, near the top of each page, and then add the detail.

How do we research and fact-check our guides?

We build each guide from primary sources wherever possible. That means the websites and published information of city and county governments, park agencies, transit operators, airports, venues, museums and attractions. For prices, fees, hours, fares and rules, we go to the organization that sets them rather than relying on other travel sites.

Many guides end with a Sources we checked list so you can see where key facts came from, and a Facts checked date that shows when we last confirmed them. When we cannot confirm a detail, we leave it out or say clearly that it should be checked before you go.

Miami changes quickly. Restaurants close, prices rise, transit fares change and attractions shut down. We re-check prices, dates and opening details on a rolling basis, give priority to pages about events and seasonal topics before they happen, and update guides when we learn something has changed. Prices on the site are guides, often written as "from" or "about", and the final price is always the one shown by the seller.

How does Miami Beach Guest make money?

The site is free to read. We earn money through affiliate links. When you book a tour or activity through our links to Viator, reserve a hotel through Stay22 and its booking partners, or buy event tickets through Ticketmaster via our partners, we may receive a commission. You pay the same price you would pay going direct; the commission comes from the partner.

Commissions never decide what we recommend. We choose what to include based on usefulness, location, value and what visitors are likely to enjoy, and we include free things, public parks and places we earn nothing from. Some pages show tours, hotels or tickets automatically below our text, and those listings come from partner feeds. Our affiliate disclosure explains the details.

Are we connected to an official tourism or government body?

No. Miami Beach Guest is not affiliated with, endorsed by or part of any visitor center, tourism bureau, convention authority, city, county or government agency. We are an independent publisher. Where it helps, we link to the relevant official sources, such as park, transit and venue websites, so you can confirm details or buy directly from them.

How can you send a correction or contact us?

If you spot something out of date or wrong, we want to know. Tell us the page, what needs changing and, if you can, a link to a source. We review every correction we receive, update the guide when the information checks out, and change the Facts checked date when we do.

For corrections, questions or partnership enquiries, please use our contact page. We cannot make bookings or handle refunds for third-party tours, hotels or tickets; please contact the company you booked with for those.
